Microbiology Technician: Bio Products Laboratory, UK

Technician in Microbiologyfor a fixed term period of 12 months on the shift; Monday Friday, 7am 3pm, 11.30am 7.30pm on rotation.The post holder will be expected to join the on-call system in Microbiology.

The person appointed will be required to test samples in accordance with the laboratory’s Standard Operating Procedures, policies and principles of Good Manufacturing Practice.Duties will include environmental monitoring of process areas; working in cleanrooms and clean areas; water sampling and testing; and a range of microbiological laboratory tests.

The appointment requires a person with good communication skills, written and spoken, problem solving skills and time management and planning skills.The successful candidate will also have a knowledge and understanding of GMP/GCLP with a degree in Microbiology or relevant Biological Science.
