PLZ HELP!My loved one has type2 diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, and I need to do something NOW!!!!?I need meal idea's to cook for her.
She is already lost a lot of her vision, are there anything I can do?They gave her magnifiers but say gla*ses won't help!
Is this reversable?!?!?!
And regarding her depression, she says she is unhappy with the way I live my life but I tell her to focus on herself.Me going out once every other week is not reason to distress!
What controls high blood pressure?

the vision loss is probably not reversible.fix her a diet of vegetabls and fruit and minimal sugar.she should consult a physician for anthypertensive medication for her high blood pressure..

High blood pressure can come from anything.Stress, high ch*lesterol, obesity, diabetes as well.HBP can be controlled with medicine.Diabetes can be reversed if it is not severe...if she doesn't require insulin shots it probably can be controlled with a low sugar diet and exercise. As for her blindness, no it is not reversible I'm sorry to say.If she is stressing out because you are going out every other week, she is having mental problems and should check with a psychiatrist.

She needs to be under a doctor's care. Without control she won't last long. There are a lot of things involved in controlling these health problems.

As for the meal ideas, you can get several helpful suggestions at www.discoveryhealth.com
As for the condition, I'm sorry but no.Chances are that an Argon Laser treatment won't do much to alleviate the vision damage caused by BDR (background diabetic retinopathy) from her diabetes and hypertension (high blood pressure).
Unfortunately high blood pressure combined with diabetes is a very serious, and destructive combination. You need to monitor her kidney function with her doctor to avoid dialysis, and keep VERY good care of making sure her blood sugar is under control. If her kidneys start to fail, her life expectancy goes down to about 10 years on average.
These are very serious illnesses that are mostly the result of poor diet, not enough exercise, and unhealthy behavior.Depending on her age, she can start exercising, and can (don't get your hopes up, but it's possible) eliminate both conditions. It's rare, but it can happen.
Either way, proper diet, good exercise, not smoking or drinking at all, and keeping on top of your health can make life a lot better, and a lot longer for anyone with Hypertension and Diabetes.
With the high blood pressure, she has a variety of treatment options, same with the depression.Diabetes isn't as broad, but hopefully she can stay managed on oral medication.Insulin makes things much worse.
Feel free to contact me for more information.

She need special care from her MD and of course specialist she can talk to about her depression too.You trying to be there and help her is sweet but her needs are more than what you can offer. As far as on how to control her BP is to take her regular medicine and avoid salty food and excesses a lot to control her blood sugar too.You certainly can help her with her depression by spending as much time as you can and by also advising her to see psychiatrist who can help her.I hope this helps and hope she feels better.I'll remember her with my prayer:)
